WHAT ARE OUR AIMS?
Our stories are HONEST with our audiences. Our character and stories reveal the importance of learning humanistic values. We aim to produce stories that speak honestly and respectfully to our audiences about their lives and the world around them.
Our stories are created to INSPIRE our audiences. They incourage our audiences to be creative, interested in the arts and theatre and grow into compassionate, empathetic adults. Our stories aim to illustrate the importance of companionship, supporting one another and togetherness.
Our shows aims to EMPOWER our audiences by encouraging them to make decisions to decide the fate of the character(s), plot and story. We use our stories to empower our audiences to be kind, accepting of us and unite with one another.
Our stories are filled with HOPE for a better future and encourage our audiences to make a change in their lives, in their society and in the world around them.
Spots ‘n’ Stripes Theatre Company resides in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. We are a Theatre for Young Audiences Theatre Company with the aim of performing original stories and adventures to young audiences in and around the East Midlands. Our company will travel to local schools within the Lincolnshire area, providing enriching performances and accompanying workshops for the school children. We will also perform at theatres across the East Midlands. It is the mission of Spots ‘n’ Stripes Theatre Company that we provide:

We create original stories as an ensemble of performers, designers, and professionals. We share concepts and innovate together. Our work is well researched and developed over a period of three months, and we form our stories using a theme/content which often reflects that of a school’s national curriculum. Our shows feature physical theatre skills, community engagement, workshops, school touring and traditional theatre performances. Our work enables opportunities for young people to engage in the arts sector, supports their mental and physical wellbeing and encourages change. We offer tailor-made, one-hour workshops to schools in order to support and encourage individuals to explore the world in which they reside and to become inquisitive and unite with one another. The productions and workshops produced by Spots ‘n’ Stripes Theatre Company will be environmentally considerate, accessible to children in underprivileged communities and promoted at highly subsidised rates.
